Brief History - is the chimney really haunted ?
-
We are approximately 400 years old -
In the 60's an Austin 7 was on the ladies toilet roof! -
How the pub looked in the 1990's
There are reports that the main chimney is haunted but we can only track residents back to 1828. Major alterations were made approximately twenty-five years ago linking the two buildings. We know that the Austin 7 car on the roof was due to an old owner whose main hobby was the study and renovation of vintage and veteran cars, and at that time the main bar was full of vintage car memorabilia.
